Aguero continues hot run in return from suspension

A three-match suspension did nothing to interrupt Sergio Aguero's flow.

The efficient Manchester City superstar struck the back of the net twice on his return Saturday against Swansea City, extending his impeccable scoring run with his 27th and 28th goals in his past 27 Premier League appearances.

The streak dates back to April 2015, when Aguero scored both City goals in a 4-2 derby defeat to Manchester United.

Aguero needed just nine minutes to register the first tally of the match. The 28-year-old picked up the ball in Swansea's penalty area, turned away from defender Jordi Amat, and slotted a shot between Lukasz Fabianski's legs.

It was a typical goal from the Argentine, whose economy of movement leaves no step wasted.

The second marker was an elegant dink from the penalty spot in an eventual 3-1 win at Liberty Stadium.

Manager Pep Guardiola called for Aguero to "be smart" as he hit the pitch once again for City. He missed Premier League contests against United and Bournemouth, and League Cup fixture against Swansea after receicing a ban for an elbow on West Ham defender Winston Reid.

"(Aguero's) not that type of player but sometimes you know this kind of action happens," said Guardiola.

It appears Aguero has listened to every word.
