Mourinho upset Bravo didn't get red card for wild tackle on Rooney

Jose Mourinho was none too pleased with Mark Clattenburg following Manchester United's 2-1 defeat to bitter rival Manchester City on Saturday, the Portuguese tactician saying, in no uncertain terms, that Claudio Bravo should have been sent off in what would have been a match-altering moment.

The incident in question came just before the hour mark, when Bravo, making his debut after replacing Joe Hart at the club, took a poor touch and went clattering into Wayne Rooney with a wild challenge.

Had it been anywhere else on the pitch, and not the goalkeeper involved, Bravo would likely have been sent for an early shower.

It was just one of a number of nervy moments for the Chilean on the day, and Mourinho, never one to mince words, made his feelings about the challenge well known after the contest.

"It's a penalty and a red card for Bravo," the United boss told Sky Sports.

His perennial rival Pep Guardiola, however, saw Bravo's performance somewhat differently, calling it "one of the best" he's ever seen.
