Hiddink to stay on at Chelsea as consultant
Guus Hiddink will continue to be employed by Chelsea next season, even after Antonio Conte begins his role as manager following the European Championship.
The Dutch gaffer, who took over the club on an interim basis after Jose Mourinho was sacked in December, revealed that he will remain at Stamford Bridge next season as a consultant in order to help the team's younger generation.
"You often see that the young players are not always easy to link up with the first team," Hiddink told Sky Sports.
"You have to ease them through sparingly, otherwise they can end up burnt out.
"I already did that with Bertrand Traore and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but it needs to happen more often."
Once their respective playing careers are over, Hiddink added that he's eager to bring Chelsea legends Didier Drogba and Petr Cech back to the club in a similar consultancy role.
Chelsea has yet to comment on the 65-year-old's future with the club.
