Leicester City, Tottenham dominate PFA Team of the Year

Everything keeps coming up Leicester.

The PFA Premier League Team of the Year was revealed Thursday, and the Foxes, on the cusp of capturing the most unlikely of league titles, are well represented. Talismanic trio Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, and N'Golo Kante, who also garnered spots on the PFA Player of the Year shortlist, all made the cut, and are joined by captain Wes Morgan.

Leicester's only challenger for the league title, Tottenham, comprises much of the remainder of the team, with Harry Kane and Dele Alli highlighting a group of four players from the north London club to be recognized.

The most notable omission is, unquestionably, Arsenal maestro Mesut Ozil. The German playmaker is in the midst of a potentially historic campaign, sitting two assists shy of equalling Thierry Henry's single season record (20). He, alongside Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, will feel most aggrieved by their inability to crack the team.

Ozil's wizardry and vision were not enough to beat out West Ham's Dimitri Payet or Spurs' young sensation Alli, who garnered the other two midfield spots alongside their Leicester counterparts.

Arsenal is represented in defense, however, with Spanish speedster Hector Bellerin earning the right-back spot.

Along with Bellerin, Manchester United shot-stopper David De Gea, essentially the lone bright spot during a dour campaign filled with more talk of potential off-field moves than the action on the pitch, was the only representative from his squad as well.
