Jason Day was asked to remove vest Friday at Augusta

It appears golf has a new bad boy and his name is ... Jason Day?

The 36-year-old Australian drew plenty of headlines over the first two days at the Masters for what he wore, not how he played.

First, his enormous pants presented quite the scene in blustery conditions on Thursday, but it was his Friday fit that really took things up a notch.

Day was forced to play five holes on Friday morning to complete his opening round and did so wearing a vest emblazoned with 'Malbon Golf Championship' in large lettering. However, that rubbed the brass at Augusta National the wrong way and the organization asked Day to remove the vest during his 52-minute break before he started Round 2.

"Yeah, they asked me to take it off - the vest off yesterday," Day told Zephyr Melton of Golf.com. "Respectfully, you do that because it's all about the tournament here, and I understand that. I respect the tournament. That's what we're here to do, is try and play and win the green jacket."

Day is wearing Malbon clothing for the first time this year after spending years as a Nike athlete. His scripting has brought a near-constant wave of attention this season with mixed reactions on social media. However, it appears those in command at Augusta National won't be spending much time at the Malbon store anytime soon.
