Zenit St. Petersburg signs Bart Simpson

In terms of transfer deadline day signings, it appears Zenit St. Petersburg has made the biggest splash.

The Russian club unveiled their latest acquisition on Monday, signalling their interest in Champions League glory. 

Andre Villas-Boas is not having a cow. Instead, the former Tottenham boss is telling his critics to get bent. 

Simpson is generally known as a mercurial forward prone to getting in trouble with referees, but it appears he's ready to commit to a cause greater than his personal needs. 

The boy's father, Homer, weighed in on the signing. 

"I wonder where Bart is. His dinner's getting all cold, and eaten."
