Arsenal's Mesut Ozil: Blossoms in third English season
Ozil scored eight goals and dished out a career-high 19 assists in all competitions last season. He added a goal and an assist as Germany advanced to the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
Analysis:
The playmaker struggled to find his best form during his first two seasons in England, but he recorded what was arguably the best all-around statistical season of his career and finished six helpers ahead of his nearest rival in league play. Ozil didn't have as great an impact at the international level this summer, but he faced significant attention from opposing sides and struggled a bit as Germany went without a true striker for much of the tournament. Ozil is expected to miss the beginning of the season after his busy summer, but he should return in short order and could see his fantasy value boosted further if the Gunners add attacking talent to the squad this summer.
