Balotelli's agent 'quite sure' of transfer to Besiktas

Mario Balotelli's agent is confident the misfiring Liverpool striker will move to Besiktas this summer.

Balotelli struggled last season on loan at AC Milan, scoring just a single goal in 20 Serie A appearances. The Italian club apparently didn't see enough to re-sign the 25-year-old on a permanent basis, and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp doesn't appear interested in retaining Balotelli's services, either.

So agent Mino Raiola has gone to work for his client, offering him to Turkish champion Besiktas. Raiola is still waiting for an answer, but he expects a positive one.

"I'm quite sure the transfer will happen as the president already assured me in the past that he would do everything he can to sign him," Raiola told Turkish outlet Sporx, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Balotelli has already received interest from the Chinese Super League, although the Echo's James Pearce believes he is keen to stay in Europe.

Besiktas beat out perennial favourites Fenerbahce and Galatasaray to the Turkish title last season, with help from German striker Mario Gomez, who led the Super Lig with 26 goals.

Gomez, however, only spent the season on loan, and could return to parent club Fiorentina.

It would open up room for Balotelli, whose £16-million transfer to Liverpool in 2014 never panned out. He scored just one Premier League goal for the Reds.
