Argonauts look to end 3-game skid against lowly Blue Bombers

For the second time this season, Ricky Ray is the Toronto Argonauts' starting quarterback.

The veteran pivot will once again replace Trevor Harris, starter of 16 straight contests, when the Argonauts host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday.

Ray saw the field for the first time this season in the 34-2 loss to Montreal. He took over for Harris in the second half, finishing 12-of-15 for 94 yards, including a late touchdown that was nullified by a penalty.

The game doesn't mean anything in the standings for Toronto, as it will finish the regular season third in the East Division, and will be on the road for the conference semifinal. But there's pride involved, and the Argos would undoubtedly love to take home a win in their last home game of the season, in a year where they've played nearly half their home contests on the road due to scheduling conflicts.

Friday also marks the end of an era for the storied franchise, as it will be the final football game the Argonauts play at Rogers Centre. Toronto will move to BMO Field next season, after 26 years in the building formerly known as SkyDome.

While Toronto is using this as Ray's final tryout to be the playoff starter, Winnipeg is out of the playoff picture for a fourth consecutive season, and will simply be playing for pride.

The Blue Bombers have lost two consecutive games, and five of their last six, but Winnipeg only lost by more than a touchdown in one of those five defeats.
