The Montreal Alouettes came to play Friday night and kept their crossover playoff hopes alive, embarrassing the Toronto Argonauts 34-2.

Montreal snapped a four-game losing streak, while Toronto dropped its second important game in a row.

The much-needed victory puts Montreal one win ahead of the BC Lions and Winnipeg Blue Bombers for third spot in the West.

Toronto's offense was nowhere to be found, and was out-gained 410-273 by the Alouettes.

Argos quarterback Trevor Harris was pulled after going 11-for-14 with 74 yards and one touchdown. His replacement, Ricky Ray, was efficient, finishing 12-for-13 with 107 yards, but couldn't provide any points.

Meanwhile, new Alouettes quarterback Kevin Glenn finished 27-for-35 for 288 yards and three touchdowns, good enough for his first win in a Montreal uniform.

Toronto will look to put the loss behind them next week against BC, while Montreal will need a win against the first-place Edmonton Eskimos to keep their 19-year playoff streak alive.
