Stampeders host surging Eskimos in showdown of Best in the West

No one has beaten the Calgary Stampeders at home this season, and the red-hot Edmonton Eskimos will look to do just that.

Edmonton will head to McMahon Stadium on Saturday to try and put a blemish on Calgary's perfect 7-0 record at home this season. But in a battle of the league's hottest team and the league's best home team, this one could go either way.

The Eskimos are 4-0 since Mike Reilly returned as the starter after suffering a knee injury in the opener against Toronto. In that span, he's completed 82-of-135 passes for 908 yards and six touchdowns.

He also finished 22-of-40 passing for 352 yards and three touchdowns in the 27-16 win over Calgary on Sept. 12.

On the other side of the ball, Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell leads an offense that averages 26 points per game. It also helps having Eric Rogers downfield, and Jon Cornish in the back.

Rogers is the CFL's top receiver with 72 receptions for 1,184 yards and seven touchdowns. Cornish, however, didn’t play in the two previous games against Edmonton.
