BC Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian suffered a torn Achilles tendon Saturday night against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the team announced Sunday.
He will undergo a procedure later this week and will be placed on the team's six-game injured list.
The 28-year-old appeared in seven games with the Lions this season, recording 44 tackles and two sacks.
Elimimian was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Player in 2014 and was a member of the Lions' 2011 Grey Cup winning team.
