Bo Levi Mitchell threw a pair of touchdowns and ran for two more to help pace a dominant Calgary attack to a 48-3 victory over Ottawa on Saturday.

Mitchell's all-around effort fueled a relentless Stampeder offense that scored 40 unanswered points after the first quarter to move into a first-place tie in the West. It's the second straight win for the Stampeders, who improve to 5-2 on the season.

Calgary receiver Eric Rogers caught a 23-yard strike from Mitchell with three seconds left in the second quarter to bury the Redblacks in a 31-3 hole at halftime. Rogers finished with five receptions for 92 yards, while Mitchell threw for 243 yards and completed 17 of his 25 pass attempts.

Redblacks quarterback Henry Burris struggled to ignite the league's lowest-scoring offense, managing just 114 yards on 7-for-17 passing. The loss dropped Ottawa to 4-3 and two points back of East-leading Hamilton and Toronto.
