Argos to take the gridiron for date with depleted Bombers

The Toronto Argonauts are looking to build on their weekend win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders when they face the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday.

The Argonauts are riding the hot arm of Trevor Harris, who currently leads the CFL with 1,819 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, four interceptions, and a 75 percent completion rate. He's found success despite playing without elite targets Chad Owens, Anthony Coombs, and Andre Durie.

The Blue Bombers will be in tough without starting quarterback Drew Willy, who's expected to be out six-to-eight weeks with a tibial plateau fracture and partial PCL tear in his right knee. Brian Brohm and Robert Marve are the club's backup signal-callers.

Head coach Mike O'Shea knows who he's starting Friday, but won't divulge it until closer to game day.

The Blue Bombers are the only team in the league that's finished with under 10 points in two games.

The action gets underway at Investors Group Field at 8 p.m. ET.
