Lions come back to shock Eskimos
The BC Lions came to play in the second half Thursday.
Down 23-10 after two quarters, the Lions shut down the Edmonton Eskimos the rest of the way, outscoring the visitors 16-0 in quarters three and four to earn a 26-23 victory.
The loss was only Edmonton's second of the season, and they're now 4-2, and sit tied with the Calgary Stampeders atop the West. The Lions are at .500 at 3-3.
Lions quarterback Travis Lulay threw for 195 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, completing 16-of-31 attempts. His running back, Andrew Harris, had a great game, accumulating 118 yards and one touchdown on 20 attempts.
Eskimos quarterback Matt Nichols was busy, completing 26-of-42 passes for 262 yards. He also threw two touchdowns and two picks. Running back Chad Simpson, who started in place of injured Shakir Bell, ran for 97 yards on only 13 carries.
