Argos' Ray to return after bye week

Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray will return from a knee injury and start in the club's Week 11 contest versus the BC Lions on Aug. 31, the team confirmed Wednesday.
Ray has been sidelined with a sprained MCL since the end of July. Toronto activated him from the six-game injured list Aug. 17, indicating that the veteran pivot was nearing full health.
After an injury-depleted 2015 season, Ray was enjoying a bounceback campaign until suffering the knee injury. He's thrown for 1,235 yards and nine touchdowns, and has only tossed one interception. However, the injury bug struck again, keeping the 36-year-old out since Week 5.
The Argos are 4-4 on the season and sit tied for second in the Eastern Division.
