Stamps look for 3rd straight win against struggling Roughriders

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Calgary Stampeders will look to pad their lead in the West Division at the expense of the team with the league's worst record Thursday night.

Sitting at the bottom of the West, the Saskatchewan Roughriders will have their hands full in trying to slow down the Stamps at McMahon Stadium. Saskatchewan has managed only one win this season, but they'll get Darian Durant back behind centre for the contest.

Durant's missed the past two games with a leg issue and his return should spark an offense that posted only three points last time out against Montreal.

The Stampeders haven't lost since Week 1, and appear to clicking on all cylinders offensively under Dave Dickenson. Calgary's averaged 34.3 points in its past three outings, with Bo Levi Mitchell throwing for more than 300 yards in each of those contests and a total of eight touchdowns.

Securing a win may look like a daunting task for the Roughriders, but if they can get the job done, Saskatchewan could really congest the West Division standings. Despite sitting in first, the Stamps only have two more victories than the last-place Riders.
