Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant suffered what appeared to be a leg injury in Saturday's loss to the BC Lions.

The quarterback left the game and returned to the sideline on crutches. His X-Rays were negative for a broken bone, according to Lee Jones of CTV.

Durant took a late, low hit from Lions defensive lineman Michael Brooks early in the second quarter. He threw a touchdown pass to Rob Bagg on the next play, but it was his last play of the contest.

Backup Mitchell Gale entered in relief of Durant, who missed all of last season after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon in the first game.
