Rakeem Cato says he'll start for ailing Kevin Glenn vs. Tiger-Cats

Rakeem Cato appears to be getting another chance behind centre.

The Montreal Alouettes quarterback said Wednesday that he will start against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday. Starter Kevin Glenn is dealing with an eye injury and it's forced him out of practice all week.

That being said, Alouettes head coach Jim Popp said Glenn has yet to be ruled out.

Cato played in 12 games last season for the Alouettes, throwing for more than 2,100 yards and nine touchdowns. After Montreal acquired Glenn and signed Vernon Adams, some felt Cato could end up being expendable by the Als in the offseason.

The Alouettes are 1-1 this season after failing to Ottawa in their last game in late June.
