The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will begin the season without star quarterback Zach Collaros.

"He will not be able to participate in training camp," head coach Kent Austin told reporters Wednesday. "He will be going through his normal rehabilitation protocol so if you mean, 'Will he be ready for the season coming out of training camp?', the answer is no."

Collaros continues to rehab his way back from a torn ACL that ended his 2015 campaign in September.

The 27-year-old was in the midst of an MVP-caliber season at the time of the injury, throwing for 3,376 yards, 25 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 12 games.
