The Montreal Alouettes will retire former slotback Ben Cahoon's No. 86 jersey at a halftime ceremony Friday, July 29 versus the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Cahoon, a 10-time CFL East Division All-Star, helped the Alouettes capture three Grey Cups in 13 seasons. He was named the Most Outstanding Canadian in two Grey Cup appearances, and was twice recognized as the league's Most Outstanding Canadian for the regular season.

The three-time Grey Cup champion combined with quarterback Anthony Calvillo to form one of the most prolific passing attacks in CFL history. Cahoon finished his career with 1,017 receptions, 13,301 yards, and 65 touchdowns, and was frequently hailed as one of the most reliable receivers in the league.

Among the club records he holds, Cahoon recorded at least one reception in 144 straight games. That streak is also the fourth-longest in CFL history. In 2003, Cahoon hauled in a CFL record-tying 112 receptions.
