Blue Bombers ink former Super Bowl champion Jerrel Jernigan

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers dipped into the international pool Tuesday, signing former New York Giants wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jernigan comes to Winnipeg after four seasons with the Giants. His best season came in 2013, when he posted 29 receptions for 329 yards and two touchdowns.

The product of Troy was a third-round pick of the Giants in 2011 and was a member of their Super Bowl championship team that year.
