New Orleans selected as host city for WrestleMania 42
The French Quarter gets another go at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
WWE announced Friday night that WrestleMania 42 will be held in New Orleans at the Superdome on April 11-12, 2026.
It will mark the third time the Big Easy hosts WWE's biggest event following WrestleMania 30 in 2014 and WrestleMania 34 in 2018.
The Rock made a special appearance on SmackDown at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans to share the news with those in attendance.
New Orleans will host WrestleMania a year after hosting Super Bowl LIX. It's a similar situation to Las Vegas, which will host WrestleMania 41 in two months, a year after hosting Super Bowl LVIII.
New Orleans has seen some of WrestleMania's most iconic moments, including The Undertaker losing his perfect 21-0 record to Brock Lesnar in 2014 and Ronda Rousey making her in-ring debut in 2018.
