Man arrested after tackling son's opponent during HS wrestling match
A man was arrested Saturday after storming a high school wrestling match in Kannapolis, North Carolina, and tackling his son's opponent.
Barry Lee Jones was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct, according to FOX 8. He was booked at a local county jail and released on a $1,000 bond.
The student wasn't injured in the incident.

Jones' son, who attends Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, North Carolina, was wrestling a student from Southeast Guilford High School in Greensboro. The North Carolina High School Athletic Association said the expert on the mat at the time of the incident had given hand signals indicating the Southeast Guilford student's move was illegal.
"It's very unfortunate, and it just shows a society that I feel sometimes we're just losing all decorum," said Sharon Contreras, the superintendent of Schools for Guilford County. "I want to say that the parents from that high school wrote us a lovely letter saying they were equally appalled. It's not who they are as a community. And I certainly apologize to the students at both high schools who experienced that, particularly the student who was attacked."
