John Cena caused a big stir on Twitter after debuting a new hairdo at WWE Super Show-Down on Saturday, drawing comparisons to the likes of JBL and Homer Simpson.
NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal is a fan of the new look, though, and defended it while appearing on "TODAY" with Cena on Tuesday.
"He looks very sexy with that hair," O'Neal said. "He looks sexy and he looks younger."
Cena said he grew out his hair for his role in the Jackie Chan action-thriller "Project X" and intended on cutting it after filming finished, but now wants to keep it.
"I'm going to keep it just because I like embracing the uncomfortable. And it's certainly a great way to handle negativity," he explained.
Cena also discussed feeling vulnerable after his breakup with fellow WWE Superstar Nikki Bella.
