Australian Open organizers released a statement Sunday on the condition of Nigel Sears, Ana Ivanovic's head coach, after he collapsed Saturday, and the news is good.

Sears, also the father-in-law of Andy Murray, "is expected to be released from hospital (Sunday) and has been given the all-clear to fly home."

The 58-year-old will head back to the United Kingdom on Monday or Tuesday.

"I just wanted to express my sincerest thanks to the incredible people who came to my aid, as well as the brilliant staff both at the Australian Open and the Epworth Hospital," Sears said. "I feel truly grateful to everyone involved for the manner in which this has been handled. While I appreciate the level of media interest in this story I would prefer not to comment any further, thanks."

Sears collapsed near the coach's box during Ivanovic's match Saturday, causing a one-hour delay. Ivanovic lost in three sets to Madison Keys.
