Unseeded Monica Niculescu upset top-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska 5-7, 6-4, 6-0 at the Aegon Open Nottingham on Sunday, paving her way to the finals.
Radwanska opened with a 7-5 first-set victory, but was seemingly surprised by the resistance of Niculescu. Continuously challenged, Radwanska became visibly frustrated after numerous unforced errors, eventually allowing the Romanian to take advantage.
Niculescu will await the winner of Sunday afternoon's Alison Riske/Ana Konjuh matchup to find out who her finals opponent will be.
