Canadian tennis star Bianca Andreescu was knocked out of Wimbledon on Thursday after losing her second-round match against Elena Rybakina.
The 2019 US Open champion bowed out of the tournament with a 4-6, 6-7 (5) defeat.
Andreescu, ranked 56th in the world, struggled to gain momentum throughout the contest, winning just 65% of her first-serve points compared to the 80% converted by Rybakina.
The 17th-seeded Rybakina will take on China's Qinwen Zheng, 19, in the third round.
Canada's last remaining representative at the All England Club after Andreescu was also eliminated Thursday. Denis Shapovalov exited Wimbledon with a second-round defeat to American Brandon Nakashima.
