American tennis prodigy Coco Gauff beat Hungarian Timea Babos in three sets on Thursday night at the US Open, setting up a third-round matchup against defending champion and world No. 1 Naomi Osaka.
After a dominant start to the match, the 15-year-old dropped the second set before securing a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 victory. She's the youngest singles player since Anna Kournikova in 1996 to reach the third round of the US Open.
The biggest test of her young career takes place on Saturday when she goes up against Osaka for a place in the round of 16.
