Serena outlasts Diyas in 1st tour match since giving birth

She's back.
Serena Williams defeated Zarina Diyas 7-5, 6-3 at Indian Wells in her first tour match since giving birth to her first child last September. She was off for 14 months.
"It was good," Serena said, according to the Los Angeles Times' Helene Elliott. "I was rusty but it doesn't matter. I'm just out here on this journey, doing the best that I can."
The 36-year-old will face Kiki Bertens in the second round.
