Wimbledon to play on middle Sunday for 1st time since 2004

All England Club spokesman Johnny Perkins says matches will be played on Wimbledon's middle Sunday for only the fourth time in the tournament's 139-year history.
The decision was made Friday, the third day of significant rain delays during Week 1 at the Grand Slam event.
Traditionally, the tournament takes the middle Sunday off. But wet weather has created a backlog of matches, including second-rounders that still have not been completed.
The only other years the Sunday was added to the schedule were 1991, 1997 and 2004.
