Striker Jozy Altidore joined his teammates on the training pitch Monday for the first time since suffering a strained hamstring just 20 minutes into the U.S.'s tournament-opening win over Ghana, ESPN reports.
Per ESPN, Altidore warmed up with his teammates but did not participate in the entire training session. In previous days, Altidore jogged off to the side while the U.S. squad performed drills.
U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann has maintained since last week that Altidore has a chance to play Tuesday versus Belgium.
"Every day is a big step forward for Jozy," Klinsmann said. "We're optimistic to have him being part of the Belgium game."
