Spanish daily newspaper Marca took a somber, reflective tone for its front page after Spain's unceremonious exit from the World Cup.

While this is almost certainly the end of Spain's dominant run over the last six years, future squads can take solace in the fact that the team Spain beat to win Euro 2012 was Italy - the same nation that bowed out in the group stage of the 2010 World Cup after winning it all in 2006.
