Relax! Messi didn't mean to snub the boy looking to shake his hand
It's impossible to please everyone, and few know this as well as Argentina's Lionel Messi.
On Sunday, the Barcelona forward led his country to victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina by scoring a highlight reel goal that caused two defenders to collide into each other. Despite his brilliance on the pitch, he still couldn't evade criticism off of it.
In the stadium tunnel before the match, cameras caught Messi ignoring a little boy reaching out to shake his hand. Or at least, that's how it looked:
The superstar denied deliberately snubbing the kid, asking reporters, "How could it be that I did not want to greet the boy?"
"I just did not realize he was there. In fact, I spoke to two other children in the line. I would never do such a thing when I have a nephew and young son, I would never do such a thing with a boy."
And, as this Messi Truther video makes certain to show, there was certainly no malicious intent:
Since then, this picture has been floating around, with several sites claiming it's Messi with the boy from the video. However, we can't confirm that.
