Most Likely Podium (Men)

  1. Benjamin Karl (Austria): The Olympic silver medalist from 2010 won his fourth consecutive gold at the World Championships in 2013. The only thing his resume needs is Olympic gold.

  2. Jasey-Jay Anderson (Canada): The 38-year-old will enter his fifth Winter Olympics looking to defend the gold medal he won in Vancouver four years ago.

  3. Rok Marguc (Slovenia): The winner of two medals at the 2011 World Championships - a silver in Parallel Giant Slalom, and a bronze in Parallel Slalom - Marguc won gold last year at the World Championships in the parallel slalom.

Most Likely Podium (Women)

  1. Nicolien Sauerbreij (Netherlands): The gold medal that Sauerbreij won in Vancouver was the 100th gold medal that the Netherlands has won at the Winter Olympics, and remarkably, the very first in a non-skating event.

  2. Amelie Kober (Germany): A silver medalist at the 2006 Olympics in parallel giant slalom, Kober won a pair of bronze medals at the 2013 World Championships in Parallel Slalom and Parallel Giant Slalom.

  3. Patrizia Kummer (Switzerland): Coming off a silver medal at the 2013 World Championships in Parallel Slalom, Kummer leads an underrated Swiss contingent.
