U.S. advances to quarterfinals in men's hockey

The U.S. men's hockey team is off to the quarterfinals after a dominant performance Tuesday, beating Slovakia 5-1 in the final game of the preliminary round. Goals from Ryan Donato and James Wisniewski in the opening three minutes all but assured a place in the quarterfinals, where the U.S. will take on the Czech Republic. (Read more)

Slovenian hockey player fails doping test

Slovenia defenseman Ziga Jeglic became the third athlete at PyeongChang 2018 to test positive for a banned substance. An in-competition test found traces of fenoterol in Jeglic, who accepted the ruling and was asked to leave the athletes village within the next 24 hours. News of the doping violation emerged shortly before Slovenia's playoff encounter with Norway. (Read more)

Shibutani siblings win battle for bronze

Maia and Alex Shibutani made history Tuesday by becoming the first siblings to win an Olympic ice dance medal. Although the "Shib Sibs'" chances of winning gold were slim as they faced stiff competition from Canadian and French teams, the Shibutanis eventually collected their second medal at PyeongChang 2018 by winning bronze.
