Goepper soars to silver in ski slopestyle

Sitting well outside medal position before his final run in the men's ski slopestyle competition, American Nick Goepper put it all together in a run capped off by a triple cork 1440 to score 93.6 and earn a silver medal.

Bowe narrowly misses podium again

Brittany Bowe can't quite crack the podium.

The American speedskater finished fifth in Sunday morning's women's 500-meter long track event, following a fourth place finish in the women's 1,000-meter race and fifth in the 1,500-meter race earlier in these Olympics.

Bowe has one more event in PyeongChang: the women's team pursuit.

Ligety fails to defend medal in giant slalom

Skier Ted Ligety claimed gold in the giant slalom in 2014, but was nowhere near the podium this time around, finishing 3.21 seconds behind gold medal winner Marcel Hirscher and well outside the top 10 in the event.

Ligety said he was surprised by the result, noting that it was ''a really bad day and time to not ski up to the level I wanted to.'' (Read more)

Kenworthy disappointed with result, proud to share special moment with boyfriend

''It didn't work out for me, which is a bummer,'' Kenworthy said after a last-place finish in men's ski slopestyle. ''I would've loved to have landed a run for sure. Definitely disappointing.''

Kenworthy, who came out as gay after winning silver at Sochi 2014, is a strong advocate for the LGBT community. (Read more)
