Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris can start doing their homework.

The Canadian mixed doubles curling team learned their opponent for Tuesday's gold medal game, as Switzerland defeated the Olympic Athletes from Russia 7-5 in Monday's semifinal to book a spot in the showpiece contest of the nascent Olympic event.

Lawes and Morris, who defeated Norway in their own semifinal after bulldozing through the round-robin portion of the competition, will both be looking for their second Olympic gold medal. Lawes captured one as a member of Jennifer Jones' rink in Sochi four years ago, while Morris won gold on home ice in 2010, when he played third for skip Kevin Martin.

Tuesday's gold medal game is slated for 6:05 a.m. ET (8:05 p.m. local time).
