Charles Hamelin won't be adding another one to the collection.

The decorated short track speedskater, 33, finished outside the medals in Saturday's 1,500m final, getting penalized for impeding during the crowded nine-man race.

Hamelin was looking to defend his gold in the event from Sochi 2014.

Teammate Samuel Girard, meanwhile, finished just outside the medals, as the 21-year-old crossed the line in fourth.

Hometown favorite Lim Hyo-jun got South Korea on the board with its first gold medal of PyeongChang 2018, while Sjinkie Knegt (Netherlands) and Semen Elistratov (Olympic Athletes from Russia) rounded out the podium.

Hamelin was aiming to grab his fifth Olympic medal on Saturday; his 1,500m triumph four years ago sits alongside his 500m gold from Vancouver 2010, and a pair of medals - one gold, one silver - in the 5000m relay.
