San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon is being pursued by both the New York Liberty and Las Vegas Aces to lead their teams, sources told The Athletic's Chantel Jennings and Shams Charania.
Hammon, who's been in the running for multiple NBA head coaching vacancies, recently told Hudl's LaChina Robinson that she would be interested in making the move back to the women's game.
The 16-year WNBA veteran played her first eight seasons with the Liberty, who have an opening at head coach after the team parted ways with Walt Hopkins earlier in December.
Meanwhile, the Aces are led by current bench boss Bill Laimbeer, who is reportedly willing to fill a different organizational role should Hammon come aboard.
