Minnesota Lynx assistant coach James Wade will be named the next head coach of the Chicago Sky at a press conference slated for Tuesday, sources told WNBAinsidr - a report later confirmed by the Star Tribune's Kent Youngblood.
Wade's been a member of Cheryl Reeve's Lynx staff for the past two seasons, winning a title with the franchise in 2017. Previously, the 43-year-old was an assistant with the San Antonio Stars (now the Las Vegas Aces) from 2012-16.
The Sky dismissed former head coach Amber Stocks at the conclusion of the 2018 season. In two years behind Chicago's bench, Stocks compiled a 25-43 record.
