Canada's Joe Veleno suspended 1 game for headbutting
Team Canada forward Joe Veleno has been issued a one-game suspension for headbutting, the IIHF announced on Sunday.
He'll be unavailable for Canada's game versus Germany on Monday.
The incident occurred during the second period of Canada's game against Russia on Saturday when Veleno headbutted Russian defenseman Daniil Misyul during a scrum after the whistle.

"Based on all the facts ascertained, the disciplinary panel determined that Veleno repeatedly and intentionally made direct contact with Misyul's helmet," the IIHF said, adding that Veleno's action of bringing his helmet forward and toward Misyul fulfills the headbutt criteria.
The 19-year-old has recorded one assist through Canada's first two games.
