Finland advances to semifinals with shutout victory over U.S.

Goaltender Justus Annunen made 30 saves as Finland shut out the United States 1-0 on Thursday to advance to the semifinals at the world juniors.
Finnish forward Joonas Oden scored the game's only goal on a power play just over four minutes into the third period.
Forwards Shane Pinto and Trevor Zegras and netminder Spencer Knight, who made 29 saves in the loss, were selected as the Americans' three best players at the tournament.
Finland will meet Canada in the semifinals after Sweden beat the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
With the loss, the United States failed to medal at the world juniors for the first time since 2015.
