Canada gets back on track with victory over Germany
Goaltender Joel Hofer recorded 21 saves as Canada knocked off Germany 4-1 in world junior action on Monday.
Hofer was making his first start of the tournament after replacing Nico Daws midway through Canada's blowout loss to Russia on Saturday.
Nolan Foote opened the scoring for the Canadians in the first period with his second goal of the tournament.

After Liam Foudy doubled Canada's lead, Calen Addison buried a power-play marker that built a 3-0 advantage heading into the third period.
Germany's Yannik Valenti spoiled Hofer's shutout bid with just 1:06 remaining in the contest.
Canada, which improved to 2-0-0-1 with the victory, will meet host Czech Republic on Tuesday to close out preliminary play.
