Swiss coach brutally honest about team's chances vs. Canada

Swiss coach Christian Wohlwend isn't overly optimistic about his team's chances against Canada in the quarterfinal round of the World Junior Hockey Championship.

"We are far away from them, still," Wohlwend said Sunday, according to Kevin McGran of the Toronto Star. "They are faster, they are bigger, they are stronger, they can shoot better, they can pass better."

He isn't despairing over the disparity between Canada and Switzerland, though - he's just accepting reality.

"What do you want me to say?" he added. "How many first-rounders do they have? (Seven.) And the rest in the second round. And the one in the fourth round (Victor Mete) who has played the most NHL games so far? We have one in the fourth round, too. One. And the rest are not drafted."

The two nations will face off Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET in Buffalo with a semifinal berth on the line.
