Spain manager Julen Lopetegui announced Friday his 25-man squad for upcoming international matches against Macedonia and England, with Manchester United duo Juan Mata and Ander Herrera earning callups despite the team's poor form in recent weeks.

A number of high-profile Spanish players were dropped from the team, with Mata filling in for an injured Andres Iniesta and defensive veterans Sergio Ramos, Gerard Pique, and Jordi Alba replaced by the likes of Inigo Martinez, Marc Bartra, and Sergio Escudero.

Up top, Aritz Aduriz earned a nod following a five-goal solo rout of Genk in the Europa League. He's joined by Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata, among Spain's now-heavily bolstered attacking ranks.

Spain takes on Macedonia in World Cup qualifying Nov. 12 before taking on England in a friendly match three days later.
