Look: U.S. national teams honour LGBTQ pride month with rainbow shirts
U.S. men's and women's national teams will celebrate LGBTQ pride month with special edition jerseys that feature rainbow numbers.
The rainbow design will debut June 3 during the U.S. men's friendly against Venezuela before the women flaunt the pride-inspired shirts during a friendly against Sweden on June 8, and again three days later against Norway.

Along with the jerseys, fans can also purchase "One Nation. One Team" hats that feature rainbow lettering, with proceeds from the pride-inspired merchandise going to the You Can Play Project.
A statement on the U.S. soccer federation's website read: "In recognition of LGBTQ Pride month in June, U.S. Soccer will activate a number initiatives in partnership with the You Can Play Project, along with the U.S. National Soccer Team Players Association and the Women's National Team Players Association. The You Can Play Project is an organization dedicated to ensuring equality, respect and safety for all athletes, coaches, and fans without regard for sexual orientation and/or gender identity."
