England followed up a promising run at the World Cup by reaching the UEFA Nations League finals with a thrilling 2-1 win over Croatia at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Harry Kane avenged July's semi-final loss to Croatia by scoring a late winner to help the Three Lions complete a dramatic comeback and finish atop Group A4.

England faced the prospect of dropping down to the second tier trailing 1-0 with less than 15 minutes remaining. But Gareth Southgate's men overturned a late deficit as Kane scored the go-ahead goal with five minutes to play after Jesse Lingard's 78th-minute equalizer.

Kane's goal, which ended a seven-match goalless run for the Tottenham forward, also resulted in Croatia falling out of the Nations League's top flight.

The Three Lions will now look ahead to the UEFA Nations League finals in June. England's semi-final opponent will be revealed during an open draw on Dec. 3 in the Republic of Ireland.
