Kane leads Bayern, Kvaratskhelia in PSG line-up for Champions League semi
Harry Kane leads the Bayern Munich attack into the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will hope to continue his fine recent form for the reigning European champions.
Kane has scored 12 goals in 11 Champions League appearances this season, and has 53 goals in 45 games in all competitions for his club.
The England captain comes in as one of eight changes made by coach Vincent Kompany after he rested a host of regulars for last Saturday's 4-3 win at Mainz in the German Bundesliga.
Alphonso Davies is one of those who retains their place following that match -- the Canadian left-back starts a Champions League game for the first time this season after a campaign overshadowed by injuries.
Kvaratskhelia was among those rested by PSG coach Luis Enrique for the 3-0 win at Angers last weekend in Ligue 1, but the Georgian returns having scored seven goals in his last eight appearances.
He netted at home to Chelsea in the last 16 and against Liverpool in the quarter-finals, when Ousmane Dembele scored both goals in a 2-0 second-leg win at Anfield.
Dembele, last year's Ballon d'Or winner, starts through the middle of the Paris attack, while Portuguese playmaker Vitinha plays in central midfield after missing his side's last two matches through injury.
PSG are aiming to retain the title they won for the first time last season, while Bayern are targeting a first appearance in the Champions League final since 2020 -- that year they defeated Paris in the final.
The second leg will be played in Munich next Wednesday, May 6.
