David de Gea: LVG confirms knee injury
De Gea suffered a knee injury during the warmup before Thursday's Europa League match against Midtjylland, manager Louis van Gaal confirmed, and the keeper will have a scan Friday.
Analysis:
It was initially believed that de Gea hurt his ankle, and the requirement of a scan is certainly not giving the club optimism that their keeper will return quickly. Sergio Romero started Thursday and would presumably continue to do so if de Gea has to miss extended time.
